Joliet Fire Department Respond Within 3 Minutes To House Fire Friday

Joliet Fire Department on Friday, June 21st battled a structure fire in the 500 block of MaComber Avenue. Fire fighters responded to the 2-story family home within 3 minutes of getting the call at 6:30 p.m. They were met with smoke and fire in the rear of the home.
Hose lines were used to extinguish the fire. No one was at home at the time the fire started. Other crews performed water supply, search, ventilation, overhaul, safety and support functions. The fire was declared under control within 15 minutes.
There were no injuries to report. The fire is currently under investigation.
