Joliet Man Arrested After Drugs and Gun Recovered During Traffic Stop
A 33-year-old Joliet man has been arrested after recovering a gun and drugs during a traffic stop. It was on Friday at 7:32 p.m., that Joliet Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1300 block of Campbell Street for disobeying a stop sign.
Authorities identified Jesus Zambrano was identified as the driver. While speaking to Zambrano, Officers learned that there was cannabis inside of the vehicle.
He was asked to exit the vehicle where authorities recovered a loaded handgun and suspected cocaine that appeared to be packaged for sale. Zambrano was placed into custody without incident.
