SHOCKING VIDEO: Watch a Pursuit in Joliet Involving a Stolen Ambulance

A Joliet man allegedly steals and ambulance. Shortly after midnight Thursday, Joliet Police Officers responded to Amita Saint Joseph Medical Center in reference to a report of a stolen Wilmington fire department ambulance.  An officer responding, located the ambulance westbound on W. Jefferson St. at Barney.  This officer attempted to stop the stolen ambulance however the driver refused and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit continued westbound on Jefferson Street to the interstate 55 overpass at which time the ambulance swerved across the eastbound Jefferson Street lanes striking another vehicle.
The suspect then crashed through a guard rail and rolled down an embankment onto Interstate-55. At this point the suspect fled the ambulance on foot and was later located by officers and taken into custody without further incident.
 The 58-year-old Joliet man, Henry McCall, was transported back to Saint Joe’s medical center with minor injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the vehicle struck by the ambulance was transported to the hospital as well with minor injuries.

Henry McCall is charged with Possession of Stolen Motor vehicle, Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Obstructing a Peace Officer and Driving While License Suspended.
