Joliet Motorcyclist Killed After Semi-Tractor Trailer Makes U-Turn Near CenterPoint
A Joliet motorcyclist lost his life after hitting a semi-tractor trailer making a u-turn on Centerpoint way. Forty-seven year old Willie J. Miller was killed and pronounced dead at Silver Cross Hospital according to the Will County Coroner’s office.
The crash happened at 12:28 a.m. on Wednesday November 6th. According to Joliet Police, a semitrailer was traveling southbound on Centerpoint Way and went to make a u-turn near Millsdale Road. As the semitrailer was turning around, a motorcyclist was also traveling southbound on Centerpoint way and struck the semitrailer as it was turning around.
The 49-year old truck driver from Bolingbrook was issued a citation for disobeying a traffic control device. The Joliet Crash Reconstruction Unit responded and the crash is currently under investigation.
