Joliet Park District Looking for New Executive Director

The Joliet Park District may be looking for a new Executive Director. The Board of Park Commissioners will be holding their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, May 20th at 5:00 p.m. One of the items on the agenda calls for the Board of Commissioners to approve a separation agreement with the Executive Director. The current Executive Director the Joliet Park District is Tom Carstens, who has served in the roll since April of 2016.  In a statement to WJOL Park Board President Sue Gulas said “we accepted Tom’s resignation and request to retire before his contract runs out.” Carstens was scheduled to retire in February in 2020.
