A Joliet bank robbery suspect who was considered armed and dangerous was caught less than a day after the robbery. Joliet Police was called on Thursday morning at 9:30 regarding a robbery at the First Midwest Bank of Joliet at 1415 W. Jefferson Street. No one was injured and the suspect left prior to the arrival of officers. Fifty-nine year old Tom Tynan who lives near the bank was arrested and booked into the Will County Detention Center just after 6 p.m. Thursday. Tynan address is listed as 2600 block Par Four Lane in Joliet. He’s been charged with one felony county of Financial Institution Robbery.

Tom Tynan was the founder and lead singer of the band Tynan which recently appeared on WGN-TV and played at the Illinois State Fair on August 17th. The band was also scheduled to play the Grundy County Corn Fest in Morris on Friday September 27th. Tynan’s website lists the band as Chicagoland’s #1 Horn Driven Party Rock Band.
