Joliet Woman Arrested Following Two Retail Thefts

Tiera McDonald (39, Joliet) was arrested, processed, and  transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility for an arrest warrant for Retail Theft.  McDonald was processed and released on a Notice to Appear for Retail Theft and Criminal  Trespass to Real Property.  

On November 12, 2024, at 3:42 p.m., a loss prevention employee of Kohl’s (2510 Route 59)  came to the Joliet Police Department to report a retail theft that had occurred in the store on  October 27, 2024. It was reported that on that day, a male and two female suspects entered the  store and stole over $2,200 worth of merchandise, leaving without paying for the items. During  the investigation of this case, McDonald was identified as one of the suspects and an arrest  warrant was obtained for her for retail theft.  

On November 17, 2024, at 9:11 a.m., Officers responded to Walmart (2424 West Jefferson  Street) for a retail theft. Upon arrival, Officers learned that McDonald was stopped by store  employees after she had concealed merchandise in a bag and walked out of the store without  paying for the merchandise. McDonald was placed into custody without incident for this theft as  well as the warrant from the theft at Kohl’s in October of 2024.
