June Is Like May & May Is Like April – WET

June ended where May left off – wet. Nearly 5-6 inches of rain fell in parts of Will County this past week and nearly 8 inches for the month of June. Rainfall for the month of May broke a 142 year old today. Total rainfall in May, according to the National Weather Service and measured at O’Hare Airport was 8.24 inches.
In Joliet for the month of May, 10.11 inches of rain fell in the month of May as measured by the National Weather Service at Lewis University.
As for today, thunderstorms are redeveloping west of Aurora and could affect the Joliet area through noon. Plus, there is a chance for thunderstorms and isolated thunderstorms between 2-3 p.m. today.
