Large Crowds, Damage Reported Across Magnificent Mile

As of early this morning, looting and property damage has been reported in downtown Chicago. Police say large crowds could be seen breaking windows and entering stores across the Magnificent Mile in the ongoing situation. Based on a request from public safety officials, the CTA has suspended bus and train service downtown. There is no word on specific incidents or the number of arrests.
