Leaders Look For Long-Term Arlington Heights Deal For Bears

A new bill proposed in the Illinois Statehouse would add a three-dollar tax to the cost of Bears tickets.  The added tax would go toward funding a new home stadium in Arlington Heights.  The team has maintained they would build the stadium without asking for tax dollars.  Last week, Representative Marty Moylan proposed a bill that would lock the Bears into a long-term property tax rate.
