Lincoln Library, Museum Exhibit To Feature Original Gettysburg Address Copy

An exhibit at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is set to feature an original, handwritten copy of the Gettysburg Address. The library’s copy of the speech is known as the Everett Copy and will be displayed in the Treasures Gallery between tomorrow and November 30th. Tomorrow is the 158th anniversary of Lincoln’s delivery of the speech at the dedication of Gettysburg National Cemetery. It is regarded as one of the most famous speeches ever given.
