A windchill advisory in Will County goes into effect at 6 p.m. Thursday and lasts through noon Friday. The temperature will dip to a low of minus 7 with a windchill of minus 23. There are more than half a dozen warming centers in Will County. Eloise Crabb is the COO of MorningStar Mission and says they are open during the day and evening. MorningStar Mission is open during the day between 8 and 5 and closed during the lunch hour. The cold air can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Other warming centers include:
