Lockport Fire Under Investigation

Lockport Fire crews had an early call yesterday morning to extinguish an apartment fire. The call came in just before 12:15 to the 1300 block of Mews Lane in Romeoville to a report of a possible fire. Upon arrival, companies found a working fire on the second floor balcony. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire, with help from the sprinkler system. No injuries were reported, but the exterior of the complex sustained damage, as well as minor damage to the interior of the affected unit. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
