Madigan Denies Wrong Doing

Former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan is denying any wrong doing following his indictment on federal racketeering and bribery charges.  Both Madigan and his attorneys labeled the charges “baseless,” adding that they intend to fight them in court.  Madigan said he was never involved in any criminal activity, accusing the government of attempting to criminalize a routine constituent service of job recommendations.
