Male Found Dead Overnight At Collins And Ward in Joliet

Joliet police are investigating the death of a 60 year old man found just after midnight. Joliet sergeant on patrol observed a man face down in the 700 block of North Collins Street at Ward Avenue. There were no obvious signs of trauma. Joliet Police Deputy Chief Ed Gregory tells WJOL, that through video surveillance, they saw the man enter the parking lot with his bicycle overnight, then sit down and slump over. He remained that way until this morning at 8am when a sergeant on patrol noticed the man. The man was found alone. The identify of the male is being withheld pending family notification. An autopsy is expected.
