Man Arrested After Allegedly Kicking Joliet Police Officer

A 40-year-old Plainfield man has been arrested after allegedly kicking a Joliet Police Officer. Williams Starks has been charged with Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer (2 Counts), Domestic Battery (2 Counts), Criminal Damage to State Supported Property, Obstructing/Resisting a Peace Officer (2 Counts), and Obstructing Justice.

On Saturday evening, at 5:00 pm, Joliet Police were called to the Super 8 Motel on McDonough Street for a domestic disturbance. Shortly after arriving Officers determined that Starks had punched his girlfriend twice in the face. Starks was on the scene and was placed into custody. After Starks was placed into a squad car, he kicked and shattered the rear window.

Glass from the shattered window struck an Officer in the face. Starks was removed from the squad car at which time he kicked an Officer in the chest. Starks was eventually secured in a transport van and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility after refusing to cooperate with the booking process.
