Man Charged After Knife Attack in Joliet Restaurant Kitchen

A 53-year-old man has been charged with aggravated battery after allegedly attacking a man with a knife in the kitchen of a Joliet restaurant. Xiong Zheng is accused of striking another employee with a knife while working in the kitchen of “Sushi Ya” on Jefferson Street the night of January 7th. On Wednesday Zheng appeared in Will County Court and was given a $10,000 bond.
