McDonald’s CEO Steve Easterbrook is out of job following an affair with an employee. The burger giant announced over the weekend that it had terminated Easterbrook’s contract after investigating his relationship with the unnamed employee. In an email to McDonald’s staff, the 52-year-old Easterbrook admitted that he had violated company policy and called it “a mistake.” Easterbrook became chief executive in March 2015 as McDonald’s struggled to boost sales nationwide. The company named its head of U.S. operations Chris Kempczinski to replace him.
