Migrants: Channahon Village President Issues Executive Order

Like in several communities in recent days, Channahon Village President, Missey Schumacher, signed an Executive Order last night regarding rules to make transition smooth for migrants dropped off in their communities. Channahon joins Will County communities including Joliet, Lockport, and others, outlining specific conditions. Schumacher says the Executive Order is “largely symbolic, but does give our officers some leverage and options for dealing with the situation, should it arise.”
