Mike Fricilone Announces Candidacy For Congress
Will County Board Minority Leader Mike Fricilone announced his candidacy today as a Republican candidate for Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District.
Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District is currently represented by Democrat Dan Lipinski, who has held that post since January 2005.
“As a lifelong resident of District 3, I am thrilled to be running for the United States House of Representatives to represent this dynamic district,” Fricilone said. “It is a diverse region of our
state and I understand the needs and wants of our residents. I will work hard to make sure each person (in the district) is well-represented and do what is best for our communities.”
Fricilone has served on the Will County Board since 2012. He has also served as Finance Committee Chair and Vice Chair of the Capital committee.
Fricilone lives in Homer Glen with his wife of 42 years, Barb, with whom he raised three grown children, Amy, Paul and Thomas. Their family now includes their son-in-law Duane, daughter-in-law Marina and six grandchildren.
Fricilone is a graduate of Knox College; he is the executive director of Midwest Office Interiors in Woodridge.
