Meanwhile, an Orland Park man is accused of punching an election judge in the southwest suburb. Police say officers responded Sunday to the Orland Park Township Office on Ravinia Avenue on a report of a man causing a disturbance in the voting line. Officers found Daniel Schmidt restrained by numerous people inside the Township office. Investigators learned that Schmidt entered the township building and walked past numerous other voters waiting in line to enter the voting area. An election judge told Schmidt to go to the back of the line and wait his turn, but he refused before punching the election judge in the face. The suspect faces a number of charges, including Aggravated Battery.
