Mother Accidentally Shot And Killed By Her Toddler In Dolton

A mother is dead after she was accidentally shot by her toddler over the weekend in Dolton. The incident happened Saturday in the Food for Less parking lot at Greenwood and Sibley Boulevard. Police say the child was sitting in a car with his parents when he got a hold of a gun and fired it, hitting his mother. She died a short time later and the father was taken into custody.
