New Governor Pritzker Wants Pay Hike For Top Staffers

Illinois’ new governor hasn’t taken office yet and he’s already asking lawmakers to let him spend more money. Governor-elect J.B. Pritzker says he needs to pay his top staffers more to recruit the best and the brightest for jobs in state government. Democratic lawmakers yesterday said they’re inclined to give Pritzker the money.
