New Lenox Man Arrested For Child Porn and Recording Family Member Through Hidden Camera In Bedroom

On Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, the New Lenox Police Department arrested 42-year-old Andrew H.  Neudecker of the 200 block of Surf Drive for Possession of Child Pornography & Unlawful Video  Recording.  

In September of 2023, the New Lenox Police Department Investigations Unit received  information regarding a New Lenox resident that was downloading Child Pornography. During  the investigation, the offender, Andrew Neudecker, was identified and a search warrant was obtained for his residence. On July 2, 2024 the NLPD executed the search warrant along with  the assistance of the Cook County Sheriff’s Department. NLPD Investigators took possession of  Neudecker’s electronic devices and digital storage devices, which contained evidence of the  crime. Investigators also discovered evidence that there were hidden cameras inside a bathroom and bedroom of his residence which were used to obtain unlawful recordings of  another family member. Neudecker was taken into custody and subsequently charged with  one count of Child Pornography (Class 1) and one count of Unauthorized Video Recording (Class  3). The investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending. Neudecker was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility pending a pre-trial detention hearing  that is scheduled for Wednesday July 3, 2024.
