Oak Park To Honor Betty White Saturday

Oak Park will honor the late actress and Oak Park native Betty White this weekend.  Village President Vicki Scaman will read a proclamation Saturday outside the Lake Theatre that designates January 17th as Betty White Day in the western suburb.  The former star of “Golden Girls” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” died last month at the age of 99.  She was born in Oak Park in 1922 before moving to California as an infant.
