Over 80 Spent Shell Casings Found Near Joliet Motel 6

On August 24, 2024, at 11:00 p.m., Joliet Police Officers responded to Motel 6 (3551 Mall Loop Drive) for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, Officers located over 80 spent shell casings on the ground near the entrance of the motel’s parking lot. It was discovered that the exterior of the nearby Hampton Inn (3355 Mall Loop Drive) had been struck by gunfire multiple times. No injuries were reported in this shooting.
