Will County Coroner Identifies Woman Found Dead In Burning Bolingbrook Home

The office of Will County Coroner Laurie H. Summers, is reporting the death of Betty J. Kucan a 74-year-old Bolingbrook resident who was pronounced deceased on Monday August 14th, 2023, the result of injuries received in a residential fire. The blaze started Monday morning in a two-story house on South Orchard Drive. The woman was discovered in the rear bedroom of the home.
The Bolingbrook Police Department is investigating the incident. Final cause and manner will be determined after Police, Autopsy and toxicological reports are completed.
