Plainfield Man Charged with DUI in I-355 Wrong Way Crash

A Plainfield man is accused of driving under the influence and causing a serious wrong-way crash over the weekend. The incident happened yesterday morning on I-355 in west suburban Downers Grove. State Police say 33-year-old Marco Alegria was headed south on the northbound lanes near Butterfield when his minivan crashed into another vehicle. The defendant and the other driver are still in the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
