There’s another snapshot that suggests Illinois is not for everyone. A new poll from the University of Illinois at Springfield says slightly more than 60-percent of people in Illinois are thinking about leaving the state. That is up about eight-percent from the same poll last year. Fleeing Illinois’ high taxes and getting better state government policies are the two main reasons why people say they want to leave.
