Pritzker Announces Funding For Increased Broadband Access

Expanded broadband access is coming to Illinois‘ rural areas. Governor J.B. Pritzker announced 50-million dollars in funding yesterday for Connect Illinois. Pritzker said the infrastructure expansion will impact 26-thousand schools, homes, and farms. The governor says the COVID-19 pandemic has brought forward the true effect of disparities in broadband access.
