Pritzker Mum on Illinois’ Immediate Budget Needs

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker isn’t saying how the state will get past its immediate budget needs. The governor told reporters in Springfield yesterday that he supports legalizing marijuana and sports betting as a way to find new tax money for the state. But, none of that will help the three-billion-dollars that the state needs to balance its budget this year. Pritzker said he wants to grow the state’s economy, but even he admits that will take time.
