Illinois’ minimum wage will increase to 15 dollars by 2025. Governor Pritzker signed the law today that will boost the 8-dollar-and-25-cent wage to 9-dollar-and-25-cent on January 1st. It will increase to ten dollars in July 2020, then increase by one dollar per hour each year until it hits 15 dollars in 2025. The next step for Pritzker is his budget speech scheduled for tomorrow.
