Pritzker Signs Energy Legislation

Governor J.B. Pritzker is calling a new energy package a “giant leap forward.” Pritzker signed the bill yesterday that will overhaul the energy sector. He said at the signing ceremony that the state “can’t outrun or hide from climate change.” The legislation sets deadlines for the state to close coal and oil-fired energy plants and to make the state rely 100-percent on clean energy.
