Pritzker Signs Law Aimed At Closing Gender Pay Gap

A new Illinois law is aimed at closing the gender pay gap. Governor Pritzker signed a bill recently that will require businesses with 100 or more employees to provide state officials with worker pay information. The requirement goes into effect beginning in 2022. Businesses will have to provide the Illinois Department of Labor with information such as employees’ race, ethnicity, gender, and salary or hourly wage.
