Python Stops Traffic In Joliet

Monday night, drivers along Theodore Street in Joliet got a shock, when a 10-foot long ball python slithered across the road, stopping four lanes of traffic. Joliet Police spokesman Dwayne English tells WJOL that police received four calls about the serpent. He said the snake’s owner chased down the snake – so police didn’t have to get involved.

The owner, who did not say how his pet got out, took the pet home without further incident.
