Residents United For Safer Highways Invites Public To Meeting November 7th
RUSH 4: 2030 & Beyond, The Road to Reality will take place on Thursday, November 7th at New Lenox village Hall. The Community Town Hall Meeting is open to the public and will feature transportation experts forecasting future Will County traffic, transportation and infrastructure needs.
Scott Slocum will moderate the event that begins at 6:30 p.m. A frank discussion with area elected officials on how to work together and improve future communication on development and transportation issues. Mayors from Will County towns and Villages are invited to attend. Will County officials will proved an overview of ongoing efforts with IDOT, CMAP and the Will County Governmental League on land use, truck routes an the safety of rural intersections. Plus, construction experts offering a realistic summary of anticipated development projects throughout Will County and how they will affect current infrastructure and public safety.
Discussion on IDOT’s plans for I-80 & I-55 road and bridge construction and updates on the progress of safety improvements along both highways.
