Sandra Bland’s Family Calls For Case To Be Reopened Into Her Death

The family of a Naperville woman who died in a Texas jail cell after being arrested during a traffic stop is calling for the case to be reopened. New cellphone video has been released showing 28-year-old Sandra Bland’s perspective of a Texas state trooper pointing a taser at her and yelling “I’ll light you up.” The trooper’s dashcam video was released after the July 2015 traffic stop and the officer said he had feared for his safety. Bland’s family believes evidence was withheld after her arrest and death. She died a couple of days after her arrest, and it was ruled a suicide.
