School COVID-19 Outbreaks Dropping

School COVID-19 cases are down slightly, reflecting the same trend in statewide. Health experts say mask requirements and vaccinations are helping to slow the spread of the virus. Experts also say easily available COVID-19 testing in school buildings recently is also playing a role. The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there are 236 COVID-19 youth outbreaks in the state as of Friday.
