Search For Illinois’ Top Health Official Continues

A search continues to replace Dr. Ngozi Ezike as the head of the Illinois Department of Public Health.  Governor Pritzker says they are searching all across the state, as well as the nation, to find a replacement.  Ezike stepped down last month after guiding the state’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak.  Dr. Amaal Tokars has been filling in as health director on an interim basis since.
