Senator Durbin: Let’s Hope Government Shutdowns Are Over

Illinois’ senior U.S. senator says he hopes the days of government shutdowns are over. Senator Dick Durbin yesterday told the committee that is negotiating on border security that he hopes they can make a deal and keep the government open. But, coming to a deal may be tough, Durbin and other top Democrats don’t like President Trump’s request for nearly six-billion-dollars for a border wall.
