In the interest of safety, the Village of Shorewood will be rescheduling official trick-or-treating hours to Friday, November 1st from 4:00-7:00 pm. The forecast is calling for a high of 34 degrees during the original hours set for Thursday, October 31st. This cold weather paired with the rain and snow that is set to arrive earlier in the day creates the potential for hazardous walking conditions.

Other villages in the WJOL listening are have followed suit.  The village of Beecher has postponed Halloween trick-or-treating to Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

In Braidwood, trick-or-treating in Braidwood has been rescheduled to Friday from 4-7 p.m.

And the village of Dwight postponed their trick-or-treating night to Friday, from 3:30-7 p.m.
