Shooting Outside Of A Joliet Bar Injures Three Inside The Bar
On September 22, 2024, at 1:25 a.m., Joliet Police Officers responded to Eden’s Bar and Grill located at 926 Gardner Avenue, for a report of people inside of the bar that had been shot. Upon arrival, Officers located three shooting victims inside of the bar and Officers immediately began rendering medical assistance to the victims until the arrival of Joliet Fire Department paramedics. A 29-year-old male had sustained three gunshot wounds to the lower body, a 31-year-old female sustained a gunshot wound to the right ankle, and a 25-year old female sustained a gunshot wound to the right leg. All the gunshot wounds are believed to be non-life threatening. The 25-year-old female and the 29-year-old male shooting victims were transported to Silver Cross Hospital by the Joliet Fire Department. The 31-year-old female shooting victim was transported to Ascension St Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department. It is believed that the gunfire originated from outside of the bar and the rounds had entered the building. During a canvass of the area, Officers recovered spent shell casings from outside the establishment.
