Shorewood Gets A New Police Chief

The Village of Shorewood has hired a police chief from a neighboring town. Philip Arnold has been named the new police chief. Arnold has been the police chief of Wilmington since 2014. Arnold tells WJOL that he won’t be starting in Shorewood until the end of December, in the meantime he will work with the Mayor of Wilmington Ben Dietz to find his replacement. Arnold has been in law enforcement for 30 years working at several Illinois towns and also worked on the Illinois Terrorism Task Force.
