Shots Fired Near Gompers Jr High

Will County Sheriff’s Officers are on the scene of a shooting investigation on Joliet’s East Side. Around 3:45pm, officers were notified about two vehicles, one a dark SUV, shooting at each other on Briggs St. just south of Maple. Upon arrival, officers found shell casings in the street. Crews investigated the scene, and as of 5:40pm, have cleared the area. Stay tuned to 1340 WJOL for the latest information.
