Sisson Sets American Record In Chicago Marathon

Emily Sisson is celebrating after making history in the 44th Chicago Marathon.  Sisson placed second in yesterday’s race, behind Kenyan Ruth Chepngetich, who defended her title.  In the process, Sisson smashed the American women’s marathon record by 43-seconds, posting a time of two-hours-18-minutes-and-29 seconds.  Kenyan Benson Kipruto won the men’s race.  More than 40-thousand people participated in the Chicago Marathon.
