State Minimum Wage Goes Up January 1st

Hourly wage earners in Illinois get a boost starting January 1st. The minimum wage rate goes up a dollar to 12-dollars an hour. The move is part of a state law approved in 2019 that calls for a gradual increase every year which by 2025 will see the minimum wage reach 15-dollars an hour.
