State Senate Democrats Continue Push For Graduated Income Tax

Illinois Senate Democrats are continuing to push for a graduated income tax in the state. Democratic senators said yesterday that the greater-than-expected April revenue windfall won’t solve the state’s long-term financial problems. Senators Dan Harmon and Toi Hutchinson are pushing back against statements made Wednesday by House Republicans who said the windfall meant an overhaul was no longer needed.
