Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton is requesting more federal support in order to handle an influx of patients seeking abortions in Illinois.  Stratton spoke about the impact of the reversal of Roe v. Wade before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday.   She called Illinois an “island” for reproductive rights.  However, Stratton said the state needs more legal protections for patients and abortion providers.
