Chicago Alderman Danny Solis reportedly secretly recorded more than a dozen conversations with indicted City Councilman Ed Burke over the last two years for the feds. The Chicago Sun Times reports the retiring politician even met with the longtime powerful alderman at City Hall. Burke has been charged with one count of attempted extortion. He allegedly shook down a Burger King franchise owner for legal business at the same time the fast food chain needed permits for work on a restaurant in his ward. A source told the newspaper that Solis, who is the Zoning Committee chairman, plans to step down immediately and start taking his aldermanic pension.
