Suspect In Monday’s Fatal I-80 Shooting Identified, Charged
The Will County State’s Attorney, along with Illinois State Police, have announced charges from Monday’s fatal shooting on I-80 in New Lenox
45-year-old Phillip Rogers of Chicago has been charged with First Degree Murder and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon.
Rogers was driving along I-80 and engaged in a road rage incident that ultimately took the life of 30-year-old Lenier Clayton of Joliet. Following the crash and shooting, Rogers was located nearby by New Lenox Police, then turned over to Illinois State Police.
